MOUSAVI RUG
Silk-Wool Collection
Iranian Handmade Rugs
In these rugs, due to the use of both silk and wool fibers, the knot count and density and weaving time, and consequently their prices, are lower compared to all-silk rugs. The majority of rugs in this collection are woven in Tabriz, with a weave density ranging from 40 to 60 knots per square inch. Some of the designs from the first collection are also present in this collection, but they differ in detail. Among the most famous wool-silk Medallion Corner patterns are “Salari”, “Oliya”, “Khatibi”, “Mahi”, “Moje Mehr”, and “Nami”. In addition to these, “Gonbadi” and “Golistan” patterns are also considered famous designs of this Collection.
